Overview (14:00 - 17:00):
 

Workshop 1: Introduction to Pose running technique
Workshop 2: Pelvic Floor and Bracing 101 for Coaches
Workshop 3: Design and test specific warmups
Round tables: Adapting programming for your members OR Implementing POSE running technique in your affiliate OR Supporting members' pelvic floor health

Learning objectives:

  • W1: Explain the three core aspects of the Pose running technique (Pose, Fall, Pull).

  • W1: Describe 3 applications/drills based on the Pose running technique that can be used to improve your members' running technique 

  • W1: Explain the basic anatomy of the core, including the role of the diaphragm and the pelvic floor during inhalation and exhalation.

  • W1: Describe how different breathing and bracing strategies influence pelvic floor tension and apply this understanding to coach positions such as hollow holds and overhead pressing.

  • W3: Explain the purpose of a specific warm-up.

  • W3: Design, test and reflect on a specific warm-up for a given workout.

  • RT: Capture and briefly describe three peer-shared tactics for the topic you discussed.

Overview (14:00 - 17:00):
 

Workshop 1: Spotting Athletes in Gymnastics
Workshop 2: Rowing to the Curve – Making the Concept2 Work Harder for You
Workshop 3: Design and test specific warmups
Round tables: Implementing large group (20+) classes- lessons learned

Learning objectives:

  • W1: Explain the correct approach and hand placement for spotting toes to bar and bar muscle-ups.

  • W1: Demonstrate a minimum of 5 assisted reps per context where, through their spotting, the athlete shows improved mechanics and/or perceived ease of movement.

  • W2: Interpret three common force curve shapes (early peak, late peak, dual peak) and name the likely technical fault linked to each.

  • W2: Coach one participant to improve their power curve toward a smooth, symmetrical curve.

  • W3: Explain the purpose of a specific warm-up.

  • W3: Design, test and reflect on a specific warm-up for a given workout.

  • RT: Capture and briefly describe three peer-shared tactics for 20+ classes that fit their own gym context, including the problem each solves.

11th Coaches Gathering

Overview (14:00 - 17:00):
 

Workshop 1: Coaching Intermediate & Advanced Athletes
Workshop 2: What Kind of Class Experience Should We Provide?
Workshop 3: Design and test specific warmups
Round tables: Taking ownership of your own professional development


Learning objectives:

  • W1: Explain the impact of mechanics on efficiency in movement

  • W1: Coach at least one participant to improve their mechanics in kipping pull-ups, butterfly chest-to-bar, or bar muscle-ups through identifying the fault, reducing intensity, correcting the mechanics, and then focusing on consistency.

  • W2: Describe the aspects of the two pillars of Class Experience, Care and Coaching.

  • W2: Identify one area of Class Experience in your context that needs improvement and at least one step to make that improvement.

  • W3: Explain the purpose of a specific warm-up.

  • W3: Design, test and reflect on a specific warm-up for a given workout.

  • RT: Capture and briefly describe at least three peer-shared approaches to professional development, and identify one action they will take to progress their own development in the coming month..
